Carbon markets fundamentals: What is zero?
I hope I have been able to confuse and not convince you…
When one starts learning about carbon markets, one thing that strikes you about the system is the common phrase by experts and enthusiasts – ‘its complicated’.
Why is it complicated?
Are the experts just trying to gatekeep, or is this space of carbon markets really that difficult?
There are things that are really hard. These things are hard because they have to obey multiple laws of nature or because they obey laws of nature scientists do not yet know of.
Having done multiple courses in thermodynamics and chemical kinetics over the course of two degrees in engineering, I can appreciate hard things.
